What's different about the TrueS Connect-01 compared to other Groundies shoes?

The TrueS Connect-01 stands for a new generation Groundies. A newly developed anatomical last, an asymmetrical upper construction and innovative technologies such as Solarcore® and D3O® complement our trusted TrueSense® sole technology. The result is an independent shoe concept that consistently combines anatomy, technology and progressive design.

What is TrueSense® technology?

TrueSense® is the sole technology for natural movement developed by Groundies . It combines a flat and flexible construction with direct ground feedback and thus supports the most genuine walking experience possible. TrueSense® also forms the basis for natural movement in the TrueS Connect-01. You can find even more information about it here.

What is D3O®?

D3O® is an innovative material technology that absorbs shocks and reduces force transmission upon impact. In the TrueS Connect-01, it is integrated into the removable footbed and allows for a customizable barefoot experience. For added comfort, the footbed remains in the shoe – also ideal for barefoot shoe beginners. Those who prefer immediate ground feedback and an even more direct barefoot feel can simply remove it.

What is Solarcore®?

Solarcore® is an innovative insulation technology based on aerogel originally developed for NASA. It reduces heat transfer and thus supports a balanced foot climate – even at changing temperatures. Thanks to its high insulation performance with minimal use of material, it is integrated into the sophisticated design of the TrueS Connect-01.

Is the TrueS Connect-01 also suitable for barefoot shoe beginners?

Yes. The TrueS Connect-01 combines the principles of natural movement with an individually adjustable barefoot experience. The removable D3O® footbed allows you to decide for yourself how much cushioning and ground feedback you prefer. Especially for beginners, the footbed offers additional comfort. If you have worn conventional shoes before, we recommend a gradual acclimatization. You can find more information and tips on switching to barefoot shoes here.

Can I customize the experience of the TrueS Connect-01?

Yes. With the removable D3O® footbed, you decide for yourself how directly you want to feel the ground. With the footbed, you enjoy additional shock absorption and comfort. Without the footbed, you experience immediate ground feedback and an even more direct barefoot feel.

How do I find the right size?

Use our size chart and refer to your measurements. Since the TrueS Connect-01 is based on a newly developed anatomical last, we recommend checking the size information even if you have already worn other Groundies. Find your suitable size & fit.
