How did “Groundies printed with Zellerfeld” come to life?
Groundies has always explored the future of natural movement through the natural function of the foot. Zellerfeld is opening up new possibilities for the future of footwear through digital manufacturing. Groundies printed with Zellerfeld brings both visions together in a single project.
What does “printed with Zellerfeld” mean?
This slip-on sneaker is created through a 3D printing process as a single continuous object. Instead of following conventional manufacturing methods, Trinity is digitally produced and only printed once an order is placed.
Why is this shoe produced on demand?
By manufacturing each pair only after it has been ordered, production is limited to what is actually needed. This helps avoid traditional inventory production and overproduction as well as save resources.
What material is Trinity made of?
Trinity is made from flexible TPU. This material is valued for its durability, odor resistance and is even washable. Because the shoe is made from a single material and requires no adhesives, it can be fully recycled within its own system.
Is this still a true barefoot shoe?
This technology is spent on one outcome: letting your foot stay a foot. With an anatomical toe box, natural position & Zero Drop, Trinity represents the first step into the future of barefoot.
