Frequently Asked Questions
What size should I order?
Groundies are true to size. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size, as barefoot shoes should fit slightly looser. A gap of 12 mm in front of the toes is ideal for achieving the perfect barefoot feeling. As long as your feet do not slip out of the shoes and you have good support in the midfoot area, the shoes should fit well.
How do I measure my foot?
To measure your foot size correctly, take a sheet of A4 paper, place it on the floor, and stand on it. Trace the outline of your foot with a pencil. You can now easily measure the length from your big toe to your heel.
How wide are Groundies?
Although Groundies look narrow, they are intentionally cut very wide in the front foot area, especially in the forefoot. They have an anatomically shaped toe box.
Is there a difference between the models for men and women?
The only difference between our women's and men's shoes is the size. Women's shoes range from sizes 36 to 43 and men's models from sizes 40 to 47. We use a unisex last for sizes 40 to 43. This means that there is no difference in length or width between women's and men's models in the same size.
What do Barefoot Light models mean?
The Barefoot Light line is designed for those who prefer a narrower look in the toe area but still want the comfort of the ultra-light and flexible TrueSense sole. Up to the toe area, the feel of the regular fit and the Barefoot fit are identical. Only on the side of the little toe has the regular toe box been made narrower. Customers with very narrow feet have also told us that they prefer a narrower fit for a more secure hold. In these cases, the regular fit offers enough space for the toes. Normal and slightly wider feet, on the other hand, will find the full barefoot feeling in the wide toe area with our barefoot fit.
