Our shoes are based on the human foot anatomy and rely on flexible TrueSense® soles, a flat construction without heel drop (Zero Drop) and fits with more room for the toes. This is how we combine the principles of barefoot walking with footwear designed for your everyday life. You can find all the advantages of barefoot shoes under "Why barefoot shoes?".
Groundies rethinks shoes around human anatomy. We combine anatomically developed fits, innovative TrueSense® sole technology and progressive design to create a new generation of footwear. From minimalist sneakers to elegant loafers to functional hiking shoes: Natural Movement is our principle, regardless of style.
Conventional shoes often have a raised heel, stiffer soles, or a narrow tapered toe box. Groundies relies on Zero Drop, flexible soles and fits that give your toes more room. This supports a natural, low to the ground stance as a starting point for posture, balance and the well-being of our entire body.
Yes. Groundies offers different fits and soles for various needs and experiences with barefoot shoes. Especially for beginners, it can be useful to gradually get used to the new feeling. Start with shorter wearing times and increase them according to your personal comfort. More tips for the transition can be found in our Guide.
Groundies offers three fits: Barefoot Light, Barefoot and Barefoot+. Barefoot Light is our slimmest fit, Barefoot offers generous anatomically wide toe room and Barefoot+ even more space for wide feet. Which fit is right for you depends on your individual foot shape and your preferences. The size table for the respective model will help you choose. Find your suitable Size & Fit.
TrueSense® is our sole technology for natural movement. The soles are flexible, flat, and constructed without heel drop. Depending on the model, they differ in tread, material thickness, and area of use – from particularly direct ground feel in everyday life to more grippy versions for outdoor and hiking adventures. Discover the TrueSense® Technology.
Zero Drop means that there is no artificial height difference between the heel and forefoot. The foot stands on a flat base without a raised heel. At Groundies, this principle is an essential part of our construction for Natural Movement. You can find more information at "Why barefoot shoes".
Groundies enables your feet more natural freedom of movement and, through the flexible soles, a more direct perception of the ground. This can support body awareness and the conscious experience of movement. How it affects balance, foot muscles, and overall well-being is individual and depends, among other things, on habituation and use.
